I am most excited to present the debut of “The Green Deal,” EnviroHumanImpact’s latest series! This series of articles will detail a modern, commonsense approach to tackling some of the main environmental problems faced in the United States.

Why the U.S.? We know many of our readers are from other countries, but we are based in the States and can better talk about the problems here and potential solutions. The U.S. is the world’s number one polluter, also, so let’s start with the biggest problem here. No, we won’t pretend these are the only answers to these vast problems, but rather a set of proposals to spark interest and thought on these problems that many may accept as facts of life. They do not have to be!

This series of articles will help you earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Self Protection from Protect University.

Okay, enough cheese. We’re writing about simple ways you can help yourself to survive through a damaged environment, both inside and outside of the home. This is all about how to protect you! There are pollutants high and wide that, given some basic advice, we can all attempt to break contact with, help our bodies to deal better with, and give ourselves a fighting shot at avoiding diseases to which environmental toxins contribute.

What it really comes down to is that we all have the responsibility to improve our envirohuman impact but the environment is still a long way from being, “clean.” We all have to be concerned with protecting ourselves from the damaging elements we may encounter.

Envirophoria: A state of well-being or happiness due to one’s improvement of the environment directly or improving one’s envirohuman impact as a means of reducing negative impact on the environment at large.

Can also be felt by thinking about or seeing someone else improving his envirohuman impact.

You might hear from people that you’re preaching to the choir. “You don’t need to say that, you’re preaching to the choir.” Or another favorite: “You very well may be preaching to the choir.”

Does the choir not attend sermons? So we are supposed to keep quiet about issues we find important, simply because we tend to be around people who are also passionate about them as well? No. The way that coalitions are formed, the precise method of building a movement is to have people who believe in the same proposal, in this case, improving overall envirohuman impact, discuss that passion, share ideas, and encourage one another.

When will you know who does and does not know everything you know about the environment? I once felt that it was not important to conserve paper and to recycle what we use because I thought (I was much younger at the time) that the main problem was the burning and clear cutting of forests, and not that we use too much paper or don’t recycle.

Yes, we keep rolling out new series for your enjoyment! By organizing our posts into series, we’re helping you to find a great deal of information on one particular topic that hopefully provides a greater understanding. So, without further adieu, we bring you, “EnvIrony.”

The EnvIrony series debuts a trail of posts following different companies making claims to being more environmentally friendly than they may be. Or maybe they’re attempting to green their images through relentless advertising which emphasizes their green initiatives without mentioning the main environmental destruction that is a result of their companies’ basic day-to-day functions.

At times this series may berate a company for its ridiculous claims to being environmentally friendly. And, it might at times get a little bit political, which is healthy for discussions about the environment.

Remember, politics is supposed to be about “policy,” and not about partisanship. So, where possible, partisanship will be avoided and policy reality and possibility will be emphasized. For this series, the goal is to uncover paradoxes in companies’ activities and advertisements, which at times will be funny, sad, or both. More than that, we will strive to incite a skeptical eye our readers can turn to companies’ claims to being, “green.”

Because the green movement is catching on more and more, language to better describe the movement and its actors and facets is also growing. Therefore, we’ll be using terms that may be new to you (and may even be new to us). So as a housekeeping measure, we’ll be trying to put definitions down for you so that everyone is working from the same dictionary of definitions.

We just would like to give a, “shout out,” to it being May 1, the date we had selected to go, “live,” with EnviroHumanImpact. Not that you could not find the site before, but now we are going full throttle in actively promoting it.

We think we’re doing something good here. The site is looking good — sitting at about thirty posts now, we’re off to a good start in just a few weeks. Several topics are being covered and we believe that the series is a great way to get into different subjects regarding improving one’s envirohuman impact. Now, when someone comes to the site, they have something to read, and we are excited to put it out there for people and continuously add new contact.

Mostly, we want to be different from the other environmentally-focused sites on the web, all of which add value to the conversation, but ultimately we want to offer solutions, both large and small, to our readers. From everyday environmental problems to large-scale industrial pollution, the all-encompassing factor of, “envirohuman impact,” gives a much better understanding of how our actions affect the environment and how it ultimately affects us in return.

The “Saved” Series will include items saved from being discarded in some manner, items doomed to be put into a landfill or closeted away from use. Instead of the potential user of these products buying new, we will show how these products, still with much utility left, are being used to improve one’s envirohuman impact.

By using a product that was left for “waste,” again, either by cleaning or fixing, one can usually help to reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfills (and other waste streams) as well as help to reduce the demand for new manufactured products.

Happy Earth Day from us at EnviroHumanImpact. We are striving to make every day of your life a little more Earth-friendly, but especially today, take some time to think about what you can do to have a more positive envirohuman impact.

While you’re thinking about it, do some browsing around our site to find some simple ways to reduce your negative envirohuman impact. We have a collection of articles explaining many different little aspects of your life you can change for a huge benefit.

These are our product reviews of greener products and are part of my own journey toward a more sustainable lifestyle. I’ll provide you with the straight-up truth about these products’ worth and usability.

No, I don’t consider myself to be, “green,” quite yet, but I’m changing my habits and products and I want to share the products I’ve tried that get the job done (sometimes even better than their non-green counterparts). This will help you to try greener products with confidence.

EHI There! What green products are you using that you love? What products are you trying to replace? Got an idea for a product you would like to be reviewed?
