Yes, we keep rolling out new series for your enjoyment! By organizing our posts into series, we’re helping you to find a great deal of information on one particular topic that hopefully provides a greater understanding. So, without further adieu, we bring you, “EnvIrony.”

The EnvIrony series debuts a trail of posts following different companies making claims to being more environmentally friendly than they may be. Or maybe they’re attempting to green their images through relentless advertising which emphasizes their green initiatives without mentioning the main environmental destruction that is a result of their companies’ basic day-to-day functions.

At times this series may berate a company for its ridiculous claims to being environmentally friendly. And, it might at times get a little bit political, which is healthy for discussions about the environment.

Remember, politics is supposed to be about “policy,” and not about partisanship. So, where possible, partisanship will be avoided and policy reality and possibility will be emphasized. For this series, the goal is to uncover paradoxes in companies’ activities and advertisements, which at times will be funny, sad, or both. More than that, we will strive to incite a skeptical eye our readers can turn to companies’ claims to being, “green.”
