Love the info on ways go green on the cheap. Here are some additional ideas:
Shop thrift stores FIRST … after you have decided what you need, check thrift stores for that item before you buy new.
Organize a food buying club … you can get your organic food at wholesale prices.
Just say NO to plastic bags!!! Bring your own bags or just carry the stuff out in your arms.

Thanks for the extra ideas! I agree especially with you about thrift stores — in particular for stocking one’s kitchen with tools of the trade.
